COPERNILAND: THE MARRIAGE OF INNOVATION AND IMAGINATION

Futurism and Enchantment

Coperni's Spring-Summer 2025 collection, presented at Disneyland under Sleeping Beauty Castle, stood out for its balance between the brand's characteristic futurism and the fairytale atmosphere of the setting. Clean lines, asymmetrical dresses, and technological materials were paired with details reminiscent of fairytale imagery, such as shimmering textures and generously voluminous garments, almost evoking princesses of the future.

The clothes conveyed a sense of ultramodern, almost futuristic elegance. The materials used, including recycled fabrics and technological fibers, blended perfectly with the brand's high-tech environment, creating garments that seemed to come from a world where technology met magic.

A New Vision of the Present: Intelligent Storytelling

Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer, the brand's founders, decided to look to the past—their own and that of their audience—in an ode to childhood, magic, and an imaginary world that probably still helps to make our adult lives more beautiful and bearable. The goal of the two designers with this collection was not to rewrite history but to include it in the present, giving it new life through contemporary poetry, transcending nostalgia and creating an imaginary space where past, present, and future meet. The collection speaks of them, of the brand, but above all of us, of all the princes and

princesses, heroes, rebels, but also villains that we all embody daily, consciously or unconsciously.

The Fairytale and its 3 Acts

The collection is divided into a three-act show: the first act concerns the park and its tribes, its members who daily help keep the magic and lightness alive without falling into immaturity. In a celebration of youth and carefree spirit, the first part of the show is designed to capture the essence of early innocence, inspired by elements of Victorian style. Disney t-shirts mix with modern elements, creating a look similar to what a child would wear if given free rein in style, in a burst of authenticity and disregard for external judgment. Then comes the second part, perhaps the most interesting: the one that pays homage to villains. Here, monochromatic and structured dresses follow one another, embodying growth and the frustration that inevitably accompanies it, transforming classic villain elements into modern and surprising garments, such as little black dresses with collars distinctly reminiscent of Maleficent's horns or the pointed roof of a dungeon from which curses spring.

The third and final act is dedicated to princesses and their transformation. Innocence regains its power, flowers become bionic, and clothes transform, emphasizing and encouraging the rebirth of innocence into powerful femininity. Classic silhouettes receive a contemporary makeover, blending tradition and innovation.

Every Fairytale Has Its Princess

At the conclusion of the third act, the fantastic Kylie Jenner delivered a dream, walking for the brand wearing an elegant black dress, in full fairytale style.

With this conclusion, Coperni reaffirmed the theme of the show and the collection, asserting its magic and marrying it with the brand's typical innovation and technology.

Kylie, as a major influence in the digital world, was perfect for the brand to generate buzz about itself and the show; but not only that: the influencer perfectly embodies every girl's dream, just like a true princess.

Both from a communicative and interpretative point of view, therefore, Kylie perfectly aligned with the intentions of the two French designers, leaving the entire audience speechless.

Always One Step Ahead

Coperni's show at Disneyland was an unforgettable event, capable of uniting two seemingly distant universes: the technological innovation of contemporary fashion and the timeless charm of fairytales. Thanks to an iconic setting and an avant-garde collection, Coperni wrote a new chapter in fashion history, once again demonstrating its role as a leader in experimentation and avant-garde.
